Long Shot – Floating Island
Back to the old ways in the age of the new. A city up in the sky, or more a village that floats above landscapes of nature and concrete. In the future, I think we can be smart enough to understand that nature is vital for us. So, our technology must go hand in hand with it. Anti gravity is something that is a real scientific endeavor, which is going on at this moment in many laboratories and research centers.

The world of science is a fascinating and amazing field, far from fearing it, I find many of us artists really love the technological aspect at which people grow with technology, hand in hand towards the future. Firmly I believe that the world is a better place because of this, people live longer and have healthier lives over all.

This floating island is a popular idea and very classic in terms of science fiction. To take old building and augment them and the enire’s island with anti gravity engines which work on the earth’s own magnetic field or using dark matter and other exotic atoms such as the graviton (theoretical). Imagine a vast floating island, always on the slow move from place to place.

High up in the mountains where the floating islands meet other permanent settlers.
This is something that i saw in my head still with ink lines but more with a classical chinese feeling and mood. Where the colors are made to keep the image light and positive, instead of forcing the image to have heavy tones and color. This one is minimal.

It shows a future super train based (externally at least) on 1920s to 1950s train design, a taste of art that has not gone away and I know it never will. Image a world in the future like this where people embrace natural forms of energy (which we can do tomorrow literally if we wanted to, sadly money for big business always comes first). A future where a train can travel at blinding speeds due to the magnetic engines of propulsion, this is also already designed by scientists and others. Where helicopters or crafts that looked like helicopters did not rely or blades from upwards motion by using “air”, but rather also anti gravity. For me this really is the future. Flying from one building to the next.

Upwards and Far Beyond.
This is my favorite concept and it took not as long but it is also in a slight different style. For this line work would not do. I had to create a digital painting as it is called in the industry “concept art” and most popular style out today.

This massive Metallic city is always on the move with propulsion engines, anti gray and even using other forms of space traveling engines to push threw the vas regions of deep space. It would be something that can travel by bending the fabric of space itself, to go to other planets or even faster than the speed of light during regular travel. What people do not realize is that “time” is relative. There is actually NO rule that will say something can not go faster than the speed of light. So not only can it go into deep space, a CITY in the Stars, but it can also easily go into the oceans of earth or other systems. This really would be amazing idea to see in the future, the ability to move beyond the sky.
