Coworking Cologne – An ecosystem of creative knowledge workers in Cologne

«Coworking Cologne» is an open collaboration platform that has set itself the goal of establishing an ecosystem of creative knowledge workers in Cologne and the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. At the moment, collaboration efforts are focused on setting up open office spaces in Cologne that are flexible, collaborative and available to everyone. «Coworking Cologne» originated in Cologne’s Mülheim district, in the Gasmotorenfabrik a former gas engine factory, which now houses the «Coworking Space» and the «FabLab Dingfabrik». A few weeks ago, «betahaus | Köln» in the district of Ehrenfeld, opened and was incorporated into the organisation. in the coming months and years, the cooperative aims to establish a collaborative intercity network of inspirational work, production and learning venues. The project was selected for the smart future minds award category BE, by ist curator Klaus Burmeister.
