Guerilla de Ganchillo is the winner of the future of the city award.
Musician and performance artist Peaches, trend forecaster Lidewij Edelkoort, Daimler Head of Design Gorden Wagener and graphic designer Mario Lombardo challenged 32 artist from different disciplines to create a vision for a better city of the future.
We’ve seen beautiful, stunning and well thought works in the categories of photography, design, textile and food. Each of these categories brought up two winning participants, that took part in the “Future of the City Award”.
All January you voted for your favourite work and declared Guerilla de Ganchillo the winners. The crochet guerrillas from Barcelona envision the surface of future cities as a multicolored texture formed by its people.
